Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel. And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment. And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head. So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the Lord stood by.

I am writing from St.Francis’ Mount in Colorado Springs. A idyllic situation to write concerning a subject which is pertinent to this season.

I have to be honest I am “wrecked” in a good way. We had a incredible sonship conference event hosted by Al Houghton of Word at Work ministries. You can find him on http://wordatwork.org.

The Lord enlarged our vision together,the gathering being of ministries across American, myself from the UK, a Pastor from Puerto Rico. We began to see what I believe that this message is a follow on.

We are introduced to Joshua being given new priestly clothes by Angels. We see also Satan. Isn’t it interesting that Satan appears in the hour of restoration! He accuses Joshua of not being able to qualify for the restoration. The answer to that is simply a rebuke!

There is a rebuke, because God is bringing Angels to us in the hour of restoring our priesthood and our sonship! These come to take away the old.

What do these old garments represent?

They represent poverty, shame and displacement.

The priest was without his temple, without his function because of the Captivity!

And if there is no temple then the covenant is not being constantly ratified in the Glory in His House! God is going to restore His Ministers before the ruins of the Temple are restored.

Our priesthood comes from the Davidic covenant of Sure Mercy. Our righteousness in Christ qualified us as sons. So there is a dual restoration that needs to take place.

If we do not settle in our hearts the question of our sonship in Christ we are simply orphans who will never invest in sons, but rather sustain themselves at the cost of believers who need their personal release to a corporate priesthood.

The Garments denote identity and authority. God was through the ministration of Angels restoring that identity as sons and authority as priests.

This brings both heavenly affirmation and dignity. We all need to have God bear witness to us that we are His sons, and confirm our priestly functions with heaven’s response.

That restoration is taking place now. The shame of our “Captivity” is past. God has prophetically determined it.

What happens as we grasp these two streams is that we are in a process of changing our mindset so that God can lift others from bondage.

That new season is upon us! May we ask God to reveal His conferred sonship, and His anointed priesthood.
