45 Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, 46 and said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, 47 and that repentance for the forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem. 48 You are witnesses of these things. 49 And behold, I am sending the promise of my Father upon you. But stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.”
The Holy Bible: English Standard Version (Wheaton, IL: Crossway Bibles, 2016), Lk 24:45–49.
So much we can ascertain on this spiritual journey. The Christian walk is exactly that, a walk hand in hand with God. Many Christians who embark on a journey do not prepare right. We can limit our experience to study only, believing that knowledge is the best, we can know all the Scriptures, but we read in Matthew 2, the scribes knew WHERE Jesus would be born, yet they did not know the WHEN, and did not know the WHO, being that those who came to recognise the Messiah in the baby were those that the Father let close. So knowing the Scriptures is not a guarantee that we will be in the way of God, and in His end time purposes, we can still miss it.
We must see as Jesus opened the Scriptures it was the start of the disciples’ journey to perceive a heavenly Jesus. A Jesus who won over death, a Jesus that was going to the Father to reign and supervise over the Kingdom.
This supervision is explained in Acts 3:19-21.
19 Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out, 20 that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus, 21 whom heaven must receive until the time for restoring all the things about which God spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets long ago.
The Holy Bible: English Standard Version (Wheaton, IL: Crossway Bibles, 2016), Ac 3:19–21.
That 1)Times (kairos) of refreshing may come from the Presence of the Lord, 2) That He (the Father) may send Jesus to you appointed for you, Jesus. 3) that Heaven must receive (in the ascension) until the time (kronos)for restoring all things. This includes the fact that Jesus will come for His Church then come with His Church, 3 phases of His Coming.
Its therefore very interesting here that the kairos times of refreshings are set for meeting the conditions because the Father has set a set time of kronos for the wrapping up of the age, therefore only the Father knows when the several Kairos visitations of Jesus will mean that Jesus will come for His Church, wrapping up the kairos times, and we come back into kronos times, when what has been prophesied will come into fulfilment. To their letter and their spirit.
We must become intimate in our spirit with these things, that means that it cannot be head knowledge, it does not lead us closely into the administration of the things of God. When Jesus opens the Scriptures He is starting to reveal to us a full experience with Jesus Himself.
Maranatha!
