The foundation of “sola scriptura”

Much is arising on social media concerning the foundational concepts that shaped the Reformation. One of those is “sola scriptura” that says the Word alone bring validation, affirmation and confirms all manifestation of the Spirit and affirms all things in the Christian world. However when you see what the fruit of this concept is you begin to see what disturbing trends are birthed. The first thing we see is the lifting up of the Word above the Church There is a scripture that has been quoted wrong that God exalts His Word even above His Name . The Hebrew says … Continue reading The foundation of “sola scriptura”

Its not enough to know the Scriptures

As teachers of the Word it is a conundrum when God tells you its not enough to be teachers of the Word. In fact the Word is full of prophetic statements concerning Jesus. Yet the Jews missed Him. They were thorough students of the Word, the Law and the Prophets. When the captives came back to Zion, prophesied in Psalm 126, they were like men that dreamed. God changed their fortunes, and humbled the nations to bring them back. They got back with all fervour not to repeat the errors they had made before they went into Captivity. We see … Continue reading Its not enough to know the Scriptures

2020 Year of the Word and the Spirit

In the beginning of this year I sensed in God to publish a post here, concerning “In the Beginning was the Word”. I sense looking back, that this is a forerunner to what I am to publish here. When I started the New Year, the Lord spoke to me very clearly that His New Year would not start on the 1st January but a little later. I went to Mount St. Bernards, communicating on the High Calling and knowing that God was not only speaking to me but many. The Lord started to accelerate and deepen His communication with me … Continue reading 2020 Year of the Word and the Spirit

Bring me hither an ephod

And David said to Abiathar the priest, Ahimelech’s son, I pray thee, bring me hither the ephod. And Abiathar brought thither the ephod to David. 1 Samuel 30:7 KJV In a moment of great pressure and loss David takes a leadership attitude. When you consider that David had had many victories up to now, starting with transforming men who were losers in to warriors now a force to be reckoned with had returned from a battle to find that the enemy had come behind them and attacked and carried off their wives and children. How many times we come back … Continue reading Bring me hither an ephod

The High Calling requires the highest of sacrifices.

I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, Ephesians 4:1 KJV The writer to Ephesians, the apostle Paul, is writing a letter which is the culmination of the richness of revelation to a mature and glorious Church. Here Paul is demonstrating in his life the high calling, however he also explains in Philippians 3 the cost of pursuing the high calling being that losses and sacrifices are the roads that one must go along to attain the high calling. Today Churches and ministries do not understand this process, … Continue reading The High Calling requires the highest of sacrifices.

Let the King of Glory come in

Psalm 24 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Psalms 24:7 KJV The above photo was taken 10 years ago today. It is the highest point in Portugal. It is Mount Caramulo. 10 years ago God moved me to make a journey with the conviction that I was calling winds of change. Precisely 10 years ago the Lord gave me the above Scripture to mark this occasion. I was in prayer today and this same Scripture came and I was not sure as to … Continue reading Let the King of Glory come in

As the British Church lightly esteems…

Wherefore the Lord God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the Lord saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed. 1 Samuel 2:30 KJV This is a season that God is weeding out those who honour or those who despise. The lack of honour means that there is contempt for those who preach and prophesy a hard word today. Whilst the Church in the UK remains in its … Continue reading As the British Church lightly esteems…

Sift and Shift

At the pivotal moment Jesus alerted Peter that “Satan had asked” to sift Peter…that in the sifting, permission had been given…Jesus guaranteed that He would pray… that his faith would not fail! Satan it seems has asked for Britain, the UK to be sifted. The reason is the same as the one given for Peter…that like Peter the UK would fail. Brexit is the sifting. It is the process where failure and where agony to the heart…heart break will come because we have trusted in our own structures to sustain a premise: we can leave the EU. In my recent … Continue reading Sift and Shift
