Isaiah 22
And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will call my servant Eliakim the son of Hilkiah: And I will clothe him with thy robe, and strengthen him with thy girdle, and I will commit thy government into his hand: and he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah.
Isaiah 22:20-21 KJV
The condition of Jerusalem was full of confusion. The people of God were spoiled.
The protection of God’s people had gone. The walls of the city were broken down.
The key to this message is that there were many breaches. There were many places the enemy could get in. Even houses were torn down to strengthen the wall.
I was praying through this scripture and it came to me that this is God’s view of those who call themselves Church.
The Lord says there are many breaches. He told me that these were deception, disease, discord, depression, division, destruction . All these are spread over what is known as the Church. These breaches are so serious that the enemy can come in at will.
What is more serious is that houses were torn down to fortify the wall! Read v10.
How many households have been torn down because of the collective sin of the “Church”?
Read v12. God calls to His People to weeping, mourning, girding with sackcloth!
What was the response?
The people continued eating and drinking and partying!! Read verse 13.
Is this not familiar today? When injustice reigns and abuses are committed and where prophets and true ministers are attacked. Where men and women of God are fighting lethal diseases. The answer is that the walls have multiple breaches.
Yet the Church celebrates and carries on as before !!! When God calls for weeping is mostly when people have not discerned the Lord!
God’s response! Dispersing them far from Zion. You could liken this to how many are leaving churches and opting to stay home.
This dispersion is for collective sin.
I journeyed to a particular place to minister and God was saying He was about to bring a new thing. But for them to receive it they would need to suspend their meetings and pray and repent. Needless to say they rejected the Word and they embraced a deception after i left. The Church was badly diminished after that.
And there comes a day when God will bring in Eliakim. He would have spiritual authority and the fortunes of the land would change. He would have David’s office of king, priest and prophet. God would through Eliakim bring a new spiritual time of restoration.
I went to see what “Eliakim” means. It means “God raises up “.
God wants to raise up a Eliakim people raised up in the Davidic dimension. Kingly to decree change, priestly to fulfil the ordinances of covenant, prophetic to bring spiritual direction from the base of God’s spoken Word.
The fact is discord and division is rife, deception is also reigning; with destruction not far behind. Many people who were once called are now at home living like the world because their call was never received and they were attacked. Sickness abounds and not much healing MANIFEST. Meetings have become a show and no gifts are exercised.
God will disperse this far away.Isaiah reveals that He would throw them far from home. Because of their attitude.
What does the Church do when it is a time of mourning? It is celebrating!!!
It is time to stop our meetings and pray and seek God for His Eliakim to be revealed.
For this new leadership will open the heavens and close the demonic.
I post this as a prophetic clarion call. Receive it as you will. Let us be as Eliakim to stop up the breaches and protect the city.
Shalom.
The only name that catches my eye in all of the Old Testament! A novel act of service towards others never hurt anyone!
I wrote you email. I need to understand the context of your comment.
