We are seeing how we see activated the “Yadah” in this series so that in the challenging days ahead we can differentiate the religious from those who truly walk with God. This will result in those who prevail and overcome in the last days.
It seems that in the Scripture above we have a definition which we must interpret from how we walk in “Yadah” and what is given to us.
There is a relationship between what we walk in and what is given to us to walk into the realm of eternity.
Enoch’s Yadah walk caused him to walk into eternity without passing through the corruption of the result of Adam’s sin
I believe Yadah, that intimate union between His people and God Himself there is given a component to which is the source of the heavenly interacting with earthly. The “testimony” or “marturia” is the vital anchor for Enoch’s walk. He lived with God always at the centre, the quality of fellowship being that he lived more in heavenly priorities and programmes. It was therefore no great step to go from this life to his heavenly abode because he mostly lived for that realm as though he already lived there.
We live in “pleasing” God because of Jesus
We are hidden in Christ. We no longer live for ourselves. We live as Enoch lived, surrendering our motivations and our objectives because God is the centre of all that we are. We can enjoy for this level of life in a place where “Yadah” is possible . Jesus pleased and pleases God all the time. And the covenant we are partakers of causes us to access that “pleasing” of God.
Once we let go of our nature we because of Yadah will not be found
This means that the world will not find us following empty words, empty works. Nor will we be found in living out hypocrisies which the world will be quick to find out and condemn. So much turmoil today where sex, money and influence are the roots where so called leaders are found in. When we live in pursuit of purity and integrity we will disappear from the eyes of the world and the devil.
He lived totally for God so it is logical that this same God brings Enoch into the place where perfect Yadah is lived out.
Who we love and serve is the One who will take us to the place where our hearts desired. Yadah, the walk of intimate knowledge brings us to place where this is lived out fully. If we live for earthly things we will perish along with them. Colossians tells us to set our eyes and affections on things above. Where He lives and has His Being.
And because He pleased himself in God so God was pleased with him.
It is vice versa. As much as Enoch centred his life in God so God centred His fellowship with Enoch. There is so much and I think there has been so much to distract us in this world that it seems Satan hides behind the world in great distraction and deception.
Yadah is not about half measures but total interaction with God.
It is easy to make an emotional decision to follow God in our emotion and intellect only to find that our own weaknesses and senses betray us. Yadah is a total life project . No room for cooling off or accepting a feeble attempt at obedience. When Jesus was calling disciples many had excuses what they must do first as a condition to the call. Our first attitudes and action predetermine where we will be when at the Judgment Seat we present ourselves. Our Yadah may be at low measure.
Concluding this chapter may be meditating in the life of Enoch. May we begin to cultivate a life where God is centre, all in all.
