This last section has taken much to publish due to personal health issues and some other tasks that I have been undertaking, such as teaching online groups. It has been challenging and intensive. God is moving through His Word, with bringing great insights. The new series “Yadah” is on the horizon, but it seems I will be expounding this section until September. It will mean we have been on this “journey” for the last 6 months. What a year it has been!!
Isaiah 9 is the classic starting point for a Christmas service.
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given:
And the government shall be upon his shoulder

The fullness of this governing will happen when Jesus is manifest in all dimensions, spiritually and physically. There are two aspects of this governing that the Kingdom of David understood. Psalm 89 tells us the two pillars of this, both judgment and righteousness. This is what is lacking in the world system of nation state governments. What we have right now is indebtedness, corruption, self interest and advancement. The wars and tragedies all bear the hallmark of government overreach and conspiracies. Taxing and oppressing the poor. Yet this will all come to an end when Jesus returns. Psalm 2 takes us through the attitudes of governments across to God and His Anointed. They resist, they conspire against Him. Yet Psalm 2 shows us that the nations are being transitioned into the Kingdom of God. No matter that traditional eschatological end time teaching focusses more on what the devil, the Beast, the false prophet and the Antichrist will do. Actually as we have seen here and in other series, books I have written, that these satanic things that are prophesied to happen in the end times, are simply reactions to what Christ is doing. It is not negative. Its a great future for those who walk with God.
This government that sits on the shoulders of the Messiah has been seen also in Isaiah 22:22. It is the Key of David. This key opens what no man can shut, and shuts what no man can open. This shows that what is opened is spiritually on a different level, and what is shut for us is for our good. This Key was in operation whilst David and Solomon were on the Throne of Israel. They understood that Judgment and Righteousness needed to be the foundation of a functional Kingdom. Enacting Laws that bring equity, harmony, peace to those who are citizens of this Heavenly Kingdom. These are lacking today. This will be corrected when Jesus returns.
If we turn to Acts 4, we see the attitude of the Early Church to persecution. They invoked the government of God in Christ, the Church moved into a new realm of authority from their unified vision.
For the last 50 years the Church has emphasized the Jesus of the Saviour and forgot His judicial authority. In the last days and in His return this judicial aspect will become more and more evident. The injustices and oppression will disappear and a new governance will appear.
Some Christians believe that they can affect change through social action, through political statements. The whole political system is corrupt and all guided to one ultimate goal: a one world government. So to believe that our faith can affect politics is simply a deception.
The position of the Right Hand has a Throne, and from this Throne Jesus will manifest His Judicial authority. We shall see it around us, in us, and through us.
What a glorious day it will be when this manifests, gone will be the corruption. Gone will be the oppression. The Road to the Right Hand culminates with this fact. May we cry out, “Jesus come”. May we see this in our day.
