The Ascension was and is so important when you consider the implications of His Ascension in terms of what the Father put into action and what the Son took up at the Right Hand. We are almost at Pentecost Day when we celebrate the birth of the Church. We celebrate the Descending Holy Spirit.
We also celebrate the Kingship and Priesthood of Jesus administered through the Holy Spirit in His people and His Church.
This is really important when we see what the Eternal Programme of God and how it is being administered.
The Kingly Christ is distinct from the Priestly Christ. The Kingly is to decree phases and processes of the end time things. The Priestly Christ administers the process of redemption of those who confess Him as Lord.
The Ascension is the event that secures the Outpouring of the Holy Spirit. And as we seek Him also the conditions for His Outpouring afresh is predicated upon Christ and His Position.
What decrees do we see from this, the biggest being the enemies put under His feet. This is a decree made and promise in Psalm 110. The Father invites the Son to sit at His Right Hand until the enemies are under His feet once and for all.
It seems the Church as a whole has not embraced the Kingly Jesus because of the implications of aligning with the requirements of holiness.
If we cannot embrace the Kingly Christ how will we before His Throne?

The understanding of the importance of the Ascension directly correlates with the measure of the Outpouring of Pentecost.
We will in the closing chapters examine Peter’s Pentecost message.
We must embrace the Kingly Christ so that in turn our own role as Kings and Priests can be fully activated. Until now corporately this has yet to happen. The Kingdom without a king is just a club. The Kingdom without the High Priest is unredeemed and dead in sin. We must embrace this process as Jesus has walked the whole road to the Right Hand suffering and overcoming. So in sharing in the same we too are activated into our Kingly and Priestly role.

Maranatha!!!
