Matthew records the journey of the Magi in chapter 2. They must have travelled months to arrive in Jerusalem. It seems that God spoke to them through their limited knowledge when the Star of Bethlehem appeared.

Never before had a star shone so bright in the heavens. Yet these wise men arrived at Jerusalem knowing that superior knowledge had been given to them. They knew a King was born in those days. Or was about to be born. It seems their enquiry of King Herod and his priests shook the place.
I was doing some research concerning this chapter and this happening, and was surprised that Herod was not a Jew of Judea, but a Indumean near Persia. So he was not so conversant with the prophecies concerning the Messiah. Herod and the Roman Governor Pontius Pilate did not get on at all.
The priests and scribes found where the Messiah was to be born, yet they did not know when.
It seems we may have knowledge about Scripture, we may have interpretation, about where things take place. The when of the question is one which the Holy Spirit Himself takes us, when we walk closely with God. When we are included in the preparatory works. We are included because He has trusted us with His tests and trials, we continued to walk depending upon Him.
The timing of the Lord was what guided both Simeon and Anna into the Temple.

Simeon came “by” the Spirit into the Temple. The same way the Wise Men, in their group, which was more than 3 men, a group, were led by the “Star”, “we have seen HIS star in the East“. They saw that the Star was connected to a Great King.
Their enquiry and the mystery of the Star that all were seeing, wondering what this could mean. The Star had been seen by all in Israel, but none could know what this meant. Numbers 24 had prophesied the star however. The wise men had attributed the star to be the Lord’s. This is what shook Herod and all leaders. They had seen the star but had not understand why it had appeared. Now the connection was made, this was the Messiah’s star.
This meant that change was on the way, hence unease in the corridors of power.
This has cause in our pursuit to birth a new advent, for hope. We are seeing that “foreign powers” have overrun the nations. The Lord wants and will give us signs in the heavens. And upon the earth, prophesied by Joel many centuries ago. (Joel 2). The signs in the heavens are after the Outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
I believe we are moving into that season. There will be signs that prophesy a Kingdom that cannot be moved. If we are set upon the pursuit of birthing a New Advent we are calling for the Coming of the King. In Psalm 24 we are exhorted to remove the obstacles to allow the King of Glory to come in.

All kings of the earth will cast their crowns before Him. This is a new advent now. We are preparing for His Coming. We shall if we follow Him, be included in this preparatory work, and know the when. This is a “kairos” time, being it is predicated upon the saints making the necessary preparation. Matthew 25, the Parable of the Virgins, tells us how that preparations, are made. The Lamp: the Word, the oil: the anointing, the flame: fire of God, the Light: revelation.
It is no longer imperative knowing WHERE, that is knowledge, we must know the WHEN, which is God’s guiding revelation, given to those who have a close relation to the Holy Spirit.
May the corridors shake with trepidation. Men make their plans, but God has the last say. There will be many “scribes” who will thrill with information. There are those not so knowledgeable who will be guided to where the Messiah is appearing. We need to be there in these days. Christmas is a prophecy, be where Jesus is appearing.
Maranatha!!!
