Address the Eclipse fever

In the run up to the eclipse much has been propagated in terms of prophecy etc. In fact I have been asking the Lord myself concerning the phenomenon to see whether what people have been predicting is happening. There are Nineveh prophecies being sent all over the world. My own spirit was not brought alive to any of it, because what I sense has already been revealed, and been prophesied. I sense that much superstition has come into the Body of Christ, concerning the eclipse being a percursor to the rapture, major manifestations of judgments. We seem to forget that there is a clear trajectory that we are taking, that we are still in the times of the Gentiles. We are coming to the end of this part of the Salvation programme, now turning attention to Israel.

Jesus puts a clear description to the end days, tribulations of many kinds, rumours of wars, and wars, kingdom against kingdom, and these are those specific times, and signs we need to use as an indicator. Yet we are at fever pitch with many of these things. There is one sign that is the greatest of them all, the refounding of Israel. In 1948 the UN voted for the refounding of the nation of Israel. Up to then, the land was a wasteland, and the transformation of Israel is remarkable and is a sign of Isaiah 35, the wilderness being transformed. Also Isaiah 66 says: “can a nation be born in a day?” Well Israel was. And since all this transformation so the peoples have risen up against Israel. Then there are the wars and the current one. It seems to be escalating to a regional conflict.

We must balance our eschatological expectations by studying all what Jesus, Paul and Peter, and John teach across the New Testament. There is going on a winding up of this age, but this may be a process. We may yet see another 100 years, who knows. Then the rapture doctrine, not really rooted in Scripture, the rapture is one event when Jesus appears when He comes for His Church. There are many comings, and we need to go into deep study not just the superficial passing round of doctrines which are modern interpretations. In the pandemic, much was prophesied, most did not come to pass. False prophecy and false teaching, in itself a sign of His Coming, we must more than ever in a climate of crisis, generated by different groups of scientists, politicians and even ministers and ministries, are generating a frenetic crisis and confrontational feel. It seems we are in crisis management. Does God wants His saints to be running round like headless chickens, fear of the Mark, the devil, a war, a pandemic, or any other crisis? This climate of crisis is manufactured. It is to distract and deceive so that believers will not abide in the peace of God and be able to discern from that base.

We really need to do a real appraisal of our eschatology, as in Jesus’ day they missed their Messiah, they did not discern the hour of their visitation: Luke 19. This led to their rejection of the Messiah and rebellion to God: Romans 10:3. Then 40 years down the road Jerusalem was destroyed almost and the Israelites were spread over the earth. If we adhere to modernistic interpretations of Scripture not borne out across the whole of the Bible we too will be distracted and deceived.

I sense this eclipse is a case in question. There are signs present, but what is Jesus doing? Is the Book of Revelation about eternal events about the devil’s agenda? Is it governed by the satanic Kingdom? No. The first encounter John had in the Spirit was with the Ascended Lord, and then with the Throne. All events to come are governed and supervised by the King upon the Holy Hill and He will bring all things subject to Him. We must centre our eschatology upon Him. Not upon just the apparent signs, but what is Jesus saying or doing? How is our perception of Him doing? Are we still seeing Him as the suffering Servant when He is ascended and Glorified King? If it is then a major adjustment needs to come to our walk in Him. No eclipse will do that, no war, no Beast and no Antichrist will do that, we need to ask Him to come to us afresh in the Spirit upon the Lord’s Day.
