Easter Series 2: Monday, Lazarus from Grave to covenant Table; Mark 11

In the small narrative of Mark 11 we know that Jesus spent the day after the Triumphal Entry with Lazarus and his sisters. We get varying reports in the other gospels concerning this visit, culminating with Mary anointing Jesus’ feet. What is overlooked is the fact that here we have the risen Lazarus testimony of Jesus’ resurrection in his own life, but here we overlook the fact that Jesus decided to spend his last hours with Lazarus and his sisters. This means much, even the fact that the Table symbolizes covenant, so Jesus had major plan to bring Lazarus not only beyond the Grave, but spiritual regeneration and a personal covenant.

Lazarus symbolizes each one of us…resurrected and regenerated…called out from the Grave to new life. John 11 gives us the detailed account.

Now Lazarus has Jesus not only in his home but now at his covenant table. Passover is that, the coming of Jesus to us in covenant, even the Mercies of David.

In this season, will you invite Jesus into this new place, this new level, where we sit and hear His wonderful message to our hearts. He will ressurrect us from death in the spirit, to new life, and into His covenant.

And from covenant we are brought into His Glory with Him.

What a wonderful season!

Maranatha!!!
