It seems that even at prayer no-one is safe from elements that see the Catholic Church as a enemy to target. It is horrifying that in a country founded and undergirded by faith it is that Christian faith that is under attack. And the attack came against the very heart; people in prayer, not only people but children. It seems at the time of writing 16 children are in hospital with 2 dead.
The perpetrator saw the Church and Trump driving motives for the attack. It is revealed in a “manifesto” found written by this attacker.
Whilst it is said he acted alone, it makes it more evident that not everyone shares the view and vision of a nation returning to a foundation of faith. Not everyone shares that view and even more some are driven to take it upon themselves to make a statement by targeting symbols of faith, innocents.
What can we do with our thoughts and prayers about this horrifying incident? We must ask God to turn the innocent blood into seed for lasting change for the USA and Western society in general. It is obvious that society is unravelling because the foundations have been undermined and substituted by a empty humanistic view. May their blood sow the way for a revival. Lord let not their blood be spilled in vain.
