There is so much negativity concerning the times we are living, yet the vision depends on who is commanding the narrative. Politics today is about the depravity of the human condition and how humanism thinks. Yet if you are living transitioning along the truth of this same Word that Jesus personified then you are seeing the finality of everything is the fulness of Him who created all things.
We are coming right to the end of this journey, however I have discovered things in this very trying time I thought I would have never have thought to discover. The journey of these two disciples has become mine, and subsequently what they discovered and what was revealed to them was also becoming my discovery and my revelation. And what we thought was historical in Luke 24 has in fact become actual in our lives.
The journey is a transition between the pre-Ascension ministry of Christ, and His post-Ascension. The post-Ascension being the longest in the Messianic mission, lasting over 2000 years. This is explained in Acts 3:19-21.
19 Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out, 20 that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus, 21 whom heaven must receive until the time for restoring all the things about which God spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets long ago

Here is the explicit reason for His Post-Ascension position. Heaven must receive Him until everything prophesied by the prophets be fulfilled. His position at the Right Hand will bring the restoration of all things. This journey comprehending the Lord, comprehending His Kingdom, now moves to comprehending the Holy Spirit for whom Jesus asks the Father to send upon His Disciples, as a foretaste of that which is to come. He will send, that is the Father, Jesus to us before He sends Him for us. Then once complete He shall come with us.
Jesus says in John’s Gospel that it is more advantageous that He go away, and we can see why, despite the negative things over the last 2000 years there have been men and women who have impacted the Church.
Yet just like in Luke 24 we are at the same transition. We are in the Pre-Return Jesus reality. In this reality Jesus is still coming to us in Holy Spirit visitations. In the Return itself Jesus will come for us as we shall see what was guaranteed in the Holy Spirit, is the full inheritance.
were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.

The sealing precedes the guarantee, and the guarantee precedes His return. In this Pre-Return part of the dispensation we must be made mature (Greek: teleio), whole, so that in being whole we are ready for His full appearing. In His appearing we step into glory, and that which the Holy Spirit walked us into that forerunner walk in the fact that we glimpse in our spirit what is a sample of what we will experience for eternity. Our acquiring possession is being in faith when He appears. So in acquiring the possession we can come with Him, and He with us, because we have arrived in such a fulness that we are now executing our judicial position in Him, the recompense glory for us, and judgment for the kingdom of darkness.
In Revelation 5 we see a sealed book, which represents the processes of rolling up this imperfect realm which is rolled up with justice. Noone was worthy to open it, yet the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, in His overcoming, was found worthy. Philippians 2 and Daniel 7 show us this being found worthy. He opens the seals, and with each a judgment is sent over different aspects. This is justice for all the opposition.
All this to say that we are in the same transition, its time to comprehend the Kingship, as with Him we are kings and priests, and we must come into those roles. It is time to prepare for a great change and whilst upheavals occur here on the earth, they are not causative of His return, rather they are like the red hues of the sunrise to come. We always talk of preparation yet the time for practice rapidly approaches. It is time to prepare with urgency now, our preparation comes through His Word, as Acts 3:21 says that prophets have spoken down the centuries about the things that are about to unfold.
Matthew 25 tells us two things that mark His coming, the Lamp: the Word Psalm 119, and the Oil: Zechariah 4, which shall be present in God’s saints. The Word and the Spirit shall unite from revelation to demonstration, and shall prepare the way of His Coming. He is the centre, and the fascination with the Holy Spirit, is a deviation, for He points us to Jesus. He points us to the steps we need to make, the goals we need to reach, so that He can come.
What is the Word if not Jesus coming to us. It is a visitation that the Holy Spirit apportions. And as we comprehend Him, so He is Lord, and we are prepared for His Kingdom. The Kingdom is a sphere of authority where the King of Peace reigns, bringing harmony and order. We must resist the tendency for negativity, because the world talks about upheaval, collapse, yet the Word speaks of momentary collapses of all demonic structures for that which is eternal.
So what are you doing in this time of preparation? For the promise was in Luke 24 as they were looking up seeing Him go, so we look up and see Him come. We will look up because we will hear a different sound. We shall see and hear in Spirit the thundering of His coming. This is the transition that we are walking out now.
