Christ in the participants of His Coming 7: There were those who understood the timings

We are coming fast to the end of this Christmas period, and with it this series. It has been very inspiring and enlightening indeed. In this series we have examined all those who participated in the preparation and the birthing of this Messiah. There are important factors that have some aspect to input into the birthing process of the biggest spiritual changes ever since God made covenant with Abraham. There is an urgency in the process as we have seen that this coming is set with Kronos being the guiding factor. In the space of 70 years a salvation process amongst the nations in the Name of Jesus needed to be in course before Titus would come and spread the Jews across the then known world.

Kronos deals with physical time that we humans can relate to. And the more we study the principles around this birth, and that which is the background to the 500 years before it, the return and restoration of Israel and her people to the land, and the upheavals that ensued before Jesus and John the Baptist’s births. There were those like Anna and Simeon who used many a decade engaged in this birthing process. This Kronos process is very exact and is tied to the foreknowledge of what was coming. In studying these principles and connecting them with a sound eschatological foundation we see a great wisdom at work. We have in the past admired some interpretations which have led us into great ignorance into the great eternal plan of God, understanding and flowing with it.

The appearence of John the Baptist in the wilderness and then his proclamations were a signal to Jesus to depart Nazareth, out of obscurity to assume the beginning of His Earthly Mission. And yet with all of our study of the Gospels until Jesus’ Ascension we sometimes are ignorant of the changes that occured. One of which was how Jesus was to implement the programme to wrap up this fallen creation. We are dealing always with Kronos, a set time, a set year. Yet when Jesus’ ascends, prophetic scripture comes into play, because when prophetic scripture interacts with time, we see a shift, no longer the eschatology is based upon Kronos but Kairos. The change, the shift occurs with pleroma of the Holy Spirit in Acts 2. Here Jesus is presented in His Ascended state, His Glorified position, His Eternal role. The preach after pleroma (fullness) always affects each Kairos. It is pleroma of any given dimension that changes the Kairos. Kairos in contrast to Kronos no longer is guided by exact dates, years, decades and centuries. It is guided by God’s people moving into ever increasing dimensions of faith and glory. This Kairos situation is extended UNTIL Jesus returns, then it reverts to Kronos. You may think I am inventing a theology, but when we see end times events, they are not spoken of in the Kairos, conditional upon believers and Jesus dealings with them in spiritual seasons, the end time events have a determined beginning and end. Even Peter on the Day of Pentecost refers to the conditions of this specific heavenly Priesthood of Jesus lasting until the enemy is beneath His feet as a footstool. Revelation 11 shows us the final state of believers that understand their Kairos and move accordingly. They arrive at pleroma in the terms of their witness and brings a heavenly interaction with world events and nature, the fire of heaven etc.

The fulness of Christ in the Church and its saints brings Jesus back, and then the Kairos administration ends. When we discuss 7 years of tribulation, and 1000 year reign of Christ, they are specific times, no seasons implied.

When Paul speaks to the Church in Thessalonica, he commends them for this kind of knowledge. The Old Testament speaks of the sons of Isaachar also operating this way, and being a great influence in the nation for it. The challenge in celebrating Christmas in the chaos of the times we live in obligates the believer to discern the times. Lack of this kind of walk risks apostasy and being assimilated within the world system.

Recently in a time of prayer God had to correct me on my vision of the Christmas story, believing similar events in the preparation for Jesus’ return would have the same elements. Yet God was to show me the difference between Kronos and Kairos. This changed the foundations of my perspective of eschatology. Somehow the Church generally preaches a one size fits all on every subject, we stay with the narrative yet we rarely go behind this to see what mechanisms are at work from heaven’s perspective.

This kind of knowledge must be acquired, taught to the Body, because it will give us a grounding in the way God works with us, and enriches our lives in seeing Him confirming these truths. The Christmas narrative is about Jesus in the Kronos coming with angels to accomplish in time what eternity will confirm. What we are looking for now is Jesus coming to the Church to fill her with His Stature, and coming for the Church completing Her Kairos sanctification and her becoming more like Him in the eternal realm, and coming with the Church so that she performs her eternal estate in judgment with Christ from her Union with Him.

This is the tapestry of the Word the Spirit is weaving. Its wonderful. It is preparing for what is ahead with faith, because it focusses what God is doing in us, through us, and because of us. This is the vision of the New Testament Church. The coming of the Lord, is glorious, and we must embrace His Comings in whatever dimension they present themselves. It started with His Coming 2000 years ago in a set moment in history, and because His Coming is set in Kairos, is connected to the Church and God’s people accomplishing His objectives without set confines of physical times, or generations. What we are assured of is the Holy Spirit and His fulness getting us there, to the final state, where we will be just like Him.

That is why His Coming celebrated at Christmas is so wonderful because as we know from history His Coming, we shall know the seasons of His visitation in our life and generation!

Maranatha!
