Just 8 months ago in many campuses in Universities across the USA and Europe there was a sensation that the Spirit of God was doing something new with students, and thousands packed auditoriums and Church meeting places, where prayer meetings lasted weeks. People who have never experienced anything quite like it.
Go forward 8 months and these same campus places, are now filled with protests to cry for new rights of Palestinians. However the cause, being right, as it is right to call for basic human rights, there is an unseen hand manipulating the masses. When dawned October 7th 2023, gliders landed in Israel and untold atrocities were unfolded in the whole world. The shock and horror, and yet not even 2 weeks have gone by, the opinion has changed, to where the events of October 7th have been conveniently been erased from the debate. There has been loss of life ever since, which is heartbreaking to see both Israelis and Palestinians see their lives destroyed in moments. Yet what has got my attention is how the masses in the West have now swung behind the Palestinian causes. London has had many many protests, with Moslem type prayer chanting the mantra; ” From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free.” Yet the Word of God is exactly that for Joshua, his sphere of conquest was exactly that, from the Great River to the Sea. See Joshua chapter 1 and verify for yourself. We are being manipulated and distracted, and this Message today is to show you what is going on.
The Revivals on Academia were to sow important intercession
When you study revivals, awakenings of faith, they are timed just before great disasters and wars. It seems that God uses His people to sow in intercession, so that what comes after shall shape for good. I have been awakened by God to this, and believe this year we were awakened to the fact God was warning. At the time great debate concerning the veracity of these awakenings across the globe, led me to pray. What I had at the time was Zechariah 12, yet now returning to that original text , because that corporate supplication presented there was a consequence of their awakening to the identity of their Messiah, yet this was in a context of a siege on Jerusalem by various armies. It seems that when God brings His people to supplication it means great spiritual events are about to take place. I think we can focus on the moment, the outpouring of a special refreshing to be a momentary necessity when in actual fact Jesus is looking down into our future and is strategically placing us that in the moment of conflict we are on the right side in the right place.
It has been Academia now where this movement of “rage” one of the words used, to accompany the word “hamas” which is also a Hebrew word to mean “violence”, and it seems that the whole word is being carried along by the spirit of “violence” which contravenes Zechariah 4:6, a temple foundation which was laid in a time of vulnerability as enemies had opposed the Israeli return to their land. God spoke through Zechariah to Zerrubabel saying “Not by might (violence) nor by power (political) but by my Spirit.” Whatever this wave, this tide, is carrying is a multitude toward an objective that deligitimises spiritual realities using violence and political power. And yet the contradiction of leaders of terror are hidden in various cities, living in luxury but manipulate their followers to bloodthirsty strategies throughout the world. Also this wave carries normally sane and rational people to think that violence, attack, and destruction being legitimate means to create a better world.
If we could just conjecture a moment to what the awakenings 8 months paved the way for, maybe the keys to resolve this mass manipulation of nations. What if this supplication is to reveal the Messiah once again, to open a river (Zechariah 13:1) to cleanse the nations? Even David asks “Why do the nations rage?” Psalm 2:1. This rage leads onto a resistence “against the Lord and His Anointed”, and as such we know Biblically where this “rage” is leading to. It is a plotted out road to resistence to God and His Lord and King, Jesus. God’s answer to this is to laugh from heaven. The thing that the “cause” of the Palestinians is valid in terms of basic human dignity, it is all about the heart that originates the cause, and how its methodology is formed. In this case the conviction is first verbal rage, murderous atrocities and demands. It is not the way of God. And it is Academia that is conceiving these ideas, and days of protests in most famous universities, thinking that this is producing change. Will the change come by spilling innocent blood? In the end days the blood of the Church and the Saints certainly produces conditions for the wrath of God to be manifest. One University professor spoke of exhilaration seeing Hamas invading Israeli territory, and the killing. How is this possible?
Deception and Distraction
And whilst everyone is immersed in “rage” so silently the masses are distracted to the liberties that are withdrawn in the West. The march to suppress free speech, digital currencies. These measures slowly bring monumental changes which make us more enslaved to our “paymasters”. I would like to think that the supplication made in Asbury and other places was directed at these processes. Our deception can be measured by our tendency to be carried in our interests and emotions which in themselves are objectives of unseen players. These being influenced by the devil who knows his time is short.
Supplications come after His Appearing
Zechariah 12 tells us that the supplications that went up, happened after the wounded King appeared to them all. This is probably the key to our praying at this time, we need His appearing to us, so that in that moment we comprehend Him, so that in comprehending His Person we will comprehend His Purpose, then we will comprehend His Power. This is a vision statement all on its own, and effective to respond to these tumultous times. It will also show us how not to be carried away by every wind. If in 2 weeks opinion across the nation can change so radically, how much are we close to the Church being the focus of hatred and persecution? This is how the unseen powers are moulding things now. The fast pace of these changes are down to the new media, internet, etc.,
It cannot be Church as usual…
So as we have seen, things change pretty rapidly. Opinions change, and people are shut down and persecuted rapidly. Just one false accusation and the legal arms of the law can shut down a Church building, can make membership of such a church organisation illegal. That is why it cannot be Church as usual. We are very near massive changes which are brought in whilst we are concentrated on our own lives. Our brothers and sisters need preparing for what is ahead. It will be difficult and decisions that might separate us from the majority may come at a cost, but God will meet us in it. The preparation is now, because we will only respond according to the strength of our faith and walk in God.
Concluding words
This is a warning, we are on the threshold of our great transition. There are difficult times ahead, but they are part of setting us on the road to our celestial city! We just need to prepare.
