Luke 19:41 And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it, 42 Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes. 43 For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, 44 And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation. KJV
The context of these words from Jesus, He was already about to enter into Jerusalem. He was looking at the widespread ignorance that had taken over the covenant people. They were not seeing that their attitude was contributing to what would happen in 70AD, the total destruction of the Temple by Titus.

Is it not remarkable the city that held Zion, a place where the Glory was accessible, with extravagant adoration has become in Jesus’ day a place that killed the prophets, and eventually the Messiah Himself? How tragic!
Several months ago I published a post concerning the fact that our knowing the Scriptures would not be sufficient because unless we be like Simeon allowing the Holy Spirit to lead, reveal us, the person of Jesus and His mission in our generation we too will resist the voice of the Spirit. We will miss the opportunity to go through the changes we need.
The Lord is coming within the walls of our lives…do we recognise His Visitation?
The globalists are passing this phrase “There has to be a new normal“, paving the way for the population to accept an outrageous life of restriction. The Lord Jesus came to Jerusalem to present a cross road from the impending destruction of worship in Jerusalem, because the heart of the people had departed from the passion for God and His Presence! When we begin to live in the shadow of our former covenant, our former place of worship, our former altar of prayer, so God will work to take that from us…so that we can return with a new restoration. His visitation is an Opportunity He is giving us!
His Visitation is an opportunity for saving us and purposing our future!

The great opportunity is also spelled out in Jesus’ parable of the Ten Virgins, Matthew 25. They await the Bridegroom. We know that the Bridegroom is celebrating in “His House” and will descend to meet the Bride and go into her house. It seems the love of Jesus for His Bride, and the Bride for Him must mark the end of the age. I am not sure yet the Bride has that love burning in her heart. This will be a process, and who knows if this current international lockdown is that process.

The two things that the virgins needed was a prepared lamp, and oil. The one thing that will sustain us in this season is the “prepared lamp” of the Word of God. When I consider what I knew of the Word when God began to speak to me in January 2019 concerning the High Calling and what it would mean, I was journeying to Mount St. Bernard’s, and I got the sensation I was on the home stretch to “graduation.”
I went to meet a friend locally, who also brought me this word in May last year, then my friend in the USA who brought me news of the trip I was to undertake in September to the USA. What I verified for the last year was an acceleration of understanding, it seemed I was “preparing my lamp.” Then to top off the preparation there was needed the oil so that the lamp would shine and fulfil its purpose. In this parable the virgins had to light the way for the Bridegroom to descend.
My lamp is to shine to shed forth the light needed to light the way for the Bridegroom to descend.
We often speak of the Coming of Jesus, we take it as one coming, but there are different aspects to His visitation. So much so that if we continue to accept traditions instead of personal understanding we can actually miss the purpose and know the “kairos” of His Visitation.
Israel did not know the “kairos” of her visitation so much so that 40 years later her worship, her altars, her incense, her priests had been demolished/ displaced by the occupying power.
There is a serious message in this crisis today, in that Jesus is coming to respond to our cry for liberation. He will never come as we expect. He will only come to be recognised by those who in the silent years prepared.
The 10 virgins all fall into slumber, but those who awake to the announcement of Jesus’ coming, who have their Word-view prepared will go out and shine their light and Jesus will go in with them into perfect communion.

Those who think they can make Jesus wait for them, will find the doors closed. They did not submit to the preparation.
The same tears Jesus shed over Jerusalem Jesus sheds over His Church.
Jesus has no pleasure in destruction, nor in exclusion! He warns, He prepares others, but when you see that the “blindness” is not about the “time” but the revelation of Jesus Himself. It is time that the Church gets to grips with the Person of Jesus Christ. Whilst the rejection of the Messiah in terms of God’s sovereignty brought in the Gentiles, so the Jews have had to suffer 2000 years of pain, because indeed the Blood of Jesus Christ has weighed heavy, but their hour comes for their own Redemption.
The foolish will try to take the oil of other ministry, other teachers to fill their lamp…it will not suffice….
It is time to spend in personal study and exploration of God’s Word, because the OIL God sends to you will be His Personal Oil to you. If your lamp is dark at Jesus’ visitation you will miss the opportunity to go in with the Bridegroom into the chambers of perfect communion. For there is coming a feast of intimacy that is ahead of us.

The doors are the doors of heaven that are opened for the season for those who have their lives shining and burning the oil of the Spirit.

The exhortation from the Holy Spirit is, trim your lamp, pour in the oil, for the Bridegroom shall descend to the house of the Bride, and shall bring her forth ready, to go into the special banqueting table, where His banner over me is love!
Are you recognising the hour? Are you recognising the manner of His Visitation?
Shalom!
