​And it was told king David, saying, The Lord hath blessed the house of Obed–edom, and all that pertaineth unto him, because of the ark of God. So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed–edom into the city of David with gladness.

2 Samuel 6:12 KJV

David was sad that he could not bring the Ark to Zion where the Tabernacle was. He was also disturbed by the death of Uzzah. He wondered how he could bring the Ark.

When he heard of God blessing the house of Obed-Edom he knew that God was in the blessing business.

He immediately tried once more to take the Ark. 

Many of us sometimes live with all kinds of turmoil and contrary circumstances; either on relational or physical levels. Sometimes we wonder if our pursuit for God is possible with so much to stop us in our tracks. 

God is in the blessing business. He blessed those who honoured Him. 

David gained faith knowing that if God was blessing the house of Obed-Edom therefore God was inviting David to understand that His anger was not for being unjust and unfair. 

Maybe you are passing through great suffering. Maybe you have a medical condition. Maybe you have a family divided by belief, lifestyle, or spiritual oppression. But God wants to remind you; as you prepare for Me in accordance with My Word I shall bless you. 

And David gained courage to research the Law of Moses to know how God needs to be revered and respected to transport His Spirit , His Covenant , and to prepare right for Holiness to be transported into our city, congregation, family there is a preparation. 

You shall hear of God’s blessing. You shall hear of His Goodness. And you shall desire it. You know that there is a way to go, a mode to go in, a worship to flow in.

And as you hear of His Blessing, you will gain courage to seek after Him. 

There will be positioning with God, and even correction but He is in the blessing business. How we get that blessing depends on how we prepare, how we transport that preparation into the practical. 

To be honest in writing this series I am passing through a period where I need your intercession. The world is changing and more and more we need to be in tune with what God is saying. Many times this means we stand alone. Not all the times people understand. Michal despised David’s zeal for God. She died sterile. 

How many have grown cold. How many embrace error and deception! 

Yet my pursuit is only Him. Pray for me.
