Dimension of Faith part 10: a father is tried

By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son,  By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king’s commandment.

Hebrews 11:17‭, ‬23 KJV

Right now writing this in hospital as my daughter is in hospital undergoing transplant surgery. A kidney has come available.

I feel a bit like Abraham that I am being tried as my daughter Nisia is “on the altar” on a surgery table. We have had a long hard road since August 2012 when she was first diagnosed. She had a sclerosis of the kidneys and that led to kidney failure.

In it all my daughter has been a source of serenity and joy.

As I am waiting for a good result for the transplant so I can identify with the pain of Abraham.

What I know is that God sees that pain knowing that through it we are giving the destiny of our beloved child to God. He translates us into a greater dimension of friendship with Him.

Faith cannot be divorced from a relational perspective. And it is through faith and surrender God takes attention and brings us closer to Him.

As Isaac was given back and a lamb was found so Jehovah Jireh is given to us for Nisia today. This substitution was given to take her sickness and pain.

Pray for us.

  1. grace and peace; I join my faith and prayers with yours, for a complete victorious restoration of your daughter’s kidney functions – that the kidney would be knit together perfectly and function normally- no more dialysis and such. Jesus did take our pain and suffering and he knows all our concerns. Thanks for letting us know. >
