Genesis 20
There comes the appointed time that Sarah conceives and then gives birth.
There are several miracles here. First a womb that was dead was made alive. Second a seed was released to be fertilised. Third the seed grew into a full term baby.
Here God wants to show us that when we are conceiving the things of God we need the reviving of our “womb”. Then there has to be seed released. That seed is the Word grasped by faith. It is received.
Then there has to be an interaction for that seed to become a living soul.
In the things of the Spirit it is evident that the corporate “womb” is dead. It has no conditions to birth nor conceive the move of God.
We read of revivals taking place at various times and we sometimes look over the cost of conceiving and birthing a move of God.
It is evident that revivals and great nation changing spiritual awakenings take place in a time preceded by great deadness in the Church.
Conceiving something totally from the impossible must change the landscape of our perspective.
When Facebook is replete with endorsements of presidential candidates and governmental injustices we know we live in a time of great darkness.
When hate for Israel even graces the heart of so called Christians who have the same hatred as those who attack day by day we can safely say we are in corporate deadness.
God must revive us to be able to release seed. The seed that must be released must be a enlightened approach to the Word which produces the kind of response in which God from heaven cannot help but notice and respond.
So many suffer unexplainable cancers and sicknesses even in ministry. Our meetings once places of great spiritual gifting now has been reduced to a set time to sing and a set time to hear the Word.
We are modelling our “Ecclesia ” That is respectable and non threatening.
Where is the reviving, release of seed, fertilising, conceiving and birthing?
There are many who have experienced barrenness but ache to conceive. God in Isaiah talks about the preparation. God was to put a new song of motherhood in the mouth of her whom God was speaking. He commanded Israel to enlarge her vision and stretch her faith.
Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the Lord . Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;
Isaiah 54:1-2 KJV
The Lord wants to give you a new song of birth, song of motherhood. God commands preparation because that which we prepare we will certainly see.
We know that when Sarah gave birth she had the last laugh. She laughed at herself for her initial reaction to God’s promises. Laughed at her body that did which was supernatural and laughed at those around who thought she was cursed. She was blessed.
The promise to you this day is that the season is coming that God will revive you where you shall release His Word and others shall interact in agreement and “Isaac” shall be born.
Psalm 2 says God laughs from heaven. And God will laugh through the lives of His People as all who were barren shall laugh at the new life that has come to them.
And they shall say like Sarah: the Lord made me to laugh!
Shalom!
