The Consolation of “Israel”

I am on business on the south coast once again. The term Consolation of Israel appears in Luke 2. There were house groups scattered over Jerusalem meeting because they had a conviction that a major change was about to take place. We need to examine the type of times they were in Israel in those days. 1. There was prophetic silence: from Malachi till then there was no official prophetic voice. There was no real move of God. 2. There was built a glory less temple: Herod the Great tore down Zerrubabel’s temple, to build a majestic one, but was … Continue reading The Consolation of “Israel”

Giving up of a Natural Ambition to birth a Samuel: part 3 not natural but spiritual

Not Natural but Spiritual 1 Samuel 1 When familiarity enters into our relationships we do not see others through a true prism of light as God does. How many are abused, criticized because they simply follow God. Whilst others had lives that followed the “natural course” of life, some lives birth the prophetic which means their lives have been predestined to see at various seasons extraordinary circumstances that defy all human wisdom!! How prophets are misunderstood! As Hannah pours out her heart, from the brokeness and anguish of her barren womb, her disgrace, even the Priest thought she was drunk. … Continue reading Giving up of a Natural Ambition to birth a Samuel: part 3 not natural but spiritual

Giving up of a Natural Ambition to birth a Samuel part 2: natural achievement or spiritual destiny

1 Samuel 1. When we consider the story of Hannah we see the impact of social attitudes and prejudice. Barrenness was regarded as a curse from God. That person was ostracized. So when Hannah year in year went to the temple was confronted with a barrier with God, wondering why she would be “cursed” this way. Why did God allow this situation? We are also confronted by the fact that even in her own home she was confronted by her lack of achievement. Her rival, other wife of her husband was almost always pregnant. She would have doubted her husband’s … Continue reading Giving up of a Natural Ambition to birth a Samuel part 2: natural achievement or spiritual destiny

Giving up of a natural ambition to birth a Samuel part 1: Barrenness with Purpose

I start this series, strategic because I write this in one of the most toughest experiences yet! I identify with these messages completely.  1 Samuel 1. We meet Hannah in a place of barrenness. It seems to reflect the state of Israel at the time. Spiritually the nation was living away from God. 1. A corrupt leadership 2. An independent rebellious people 3. Idolizing other gods. These 3 conditions are present in our nation today. What this does is close heaven and open doors for deception. When we examine the leadership today we see similarities with the leadership of Eli … Continue reading Giving up of a natural ambition to birth a Samuel part 1: Barrenness with Purpose

True Meaning of the Message from Job

The weeks gone by have brought their trials and situations that have marked our lives. I am speaking personally. The Lord has been speaking to me about the Book of Job. In short the meaning of the book of Job is: when all we have and who we have fails, when we recognize that God is all we have, we guard our integrity and receive restoration. The Book opens with a dialogue between God and Satan. If you analyze the accusation of Job, the accusation is not against Job but God Himself. The devil says that it is God’s weakness … Continue reading True Meaning of the Message from Job

Prophetic Schools and Companies

I sense great upheavals in the Body of Christ as the local church becomes pressed into lower forms of teaching and an acceptance of lifestyles in the name of liberal relativism. What I see is that just as John the Baptist had a season hidden, so God’s up and coming prophets will come into a season of hiddeness. Companies will form as God brings up and coming prophets join together for prayer. This way light of revelation will sustain those so hidden. If you are seeing this happen in your locality, reply to this post. Continue reading Prophetic Schools and Companies

Personal Note

You have followed this Blog for a while. I have been involved in itinerant and prophetic ministry since 1990, coming out from my home town after my father’s death. God spoke to me through a prophet about Abram leaving his country and his family. This is what happened. I traveled extensively in the early 90’s. I moved to Portugal where I developed ministry, leadership schools, involved in a circuit of churches on a leadership level. I was in Portugal for 15 years. Now for the last two years we have been developing ministry here in the UK. We have a … Continue reading Personal Note
