I Hear the Sound of Rain: part 5 The trial after the triumph

Classically we could go into the whole area of Jezebel and what happened. But the way the Lord touched it with me is the attack that comes AFTER a conquest. The fact is when we breakthrough we are at our most vulnerable to attack. The only weapon effective enough against God’s people is FEAR. It paralyzed Elijah and sent him into the desert place. He ran 40 days and 40 nights. What was exposed were his weaknesses. That is why God allows attack to come. It comes for us to face our fragility and the necessity of our need for … Continue reading I Hear the Sound of Rain: part 5 The trial after the triumph

I Hear the Sound of Rain part 4: God will sow

We saw the reason why Elijah prayed seven times before rain came. The Lord led me to look up the meaning of Jezreel. It means: The Lord will Sow. Right now in the context of what just happened with the rain storm, God was to germinate many of the “Seeds” left dormant in the famine. In a time of “Spiritual Famine” we see no growth, nothing new. Until we fulfil specific spiritual conditions. Not that we ever become 100% theologically sound, but right now a debate rages concerning the wide range of freedom that is coming to some regarding the … Continue reading I Hear the Sound of Rain part 4: God will sow

I hear the sound of rain Part 3: 7 steps of Elijah’s prayer for rain.

The Lord showed me the 7 stages of prayer of Elijah. 1. Realization: right season. 2. Repentance: starting the dialogue. 3. Repositioning: adjusting the position. 4. Restoring: the altar. 5. Reaffirming: the covenant. 6. Refining: the fire. 7. Revive: our love and our allegiance. The Lord, in the midst of appointments has brought me to look as to why Elijah had to pray 7 times before the manifestation of rain. Above there are 7 R’s which show us what we need to transition into in our prayer life. Our first base in prayer must be a realization! A realization of … Continue reading I hear the sound of rain Part 3: 7 steps of Elijah’s prayer for rain.

I hear the sound of rain

When we read the account of Elijah confronting the prophets of Baal we can take out so much from that. But the message God always brings me back to is the mountaintop experience of praying the rain down 1 Kings 18:41 NLT Then Elijah said to Ahab, “Go get something to eat and drink, for I hear a mighty rainstorm coming!” What Elijah heard was not heard by his natural hearing. It was a combination of faith that penetrates the realm of the Spirit so that we step into operating from our spirit man, with its spiritual senses. The spiritual … Continue reading I hear the sound of rain

Price of Transition: change of leadership

2 Samuel 6 We see that in one day a leadership generation is replaced. Saul is replaced with David, albeit not so soon. What happened in any transition is that disillusionment comes in, rejecting a form of leadership. We must change pace. David desires the Ark, desires the Presence of God. But his attempt took the life of one man. There was stumbling. We need to examine some parrallels. A. David tried to bring the Presence of God without looking into the Word. B. David tried to bring the Presence as with the same methodology as the ignorant. C. David … Continue reading Price of Transition: change of leadership

Transitioning your vision of Christ : John 20:17

John 20:17 KJV Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God. What we see here is a prophetic message. Jesus reveals Himself to Mary. What a statement to make. Let us examine why Mary wanted to touch and hold onto Jesus. A. She was overjoyed after such a major crisis at seeing Jesus again. B. She thought He was dead. Now amazement at His return. Jesus however wanted … Continue reading Transitioning your vision of Christ : John 20:17
