Who for the Joy Set before Him

Hebrews 12 is being sustenance at this moment. The Word is our bread that comes down from Heaven. I have to admit we are living times which are difficult to fathom. They are difficult for our flesh to deal with. But the Word brings to our spirit a window to glance into the spiritual realm and see all the miracles, the mountains which move, the obstacles removed, seas which part, are ALL THERE. When we look into the Word we are looking into OUR MIRACLE. Once we LET THE SAME SPIRIT WHO PENNED ALL THE WORDS, to reveal the HIDDEN … Continue reading Who for the Joy Set before Him

Enduring a Cross and Despising Shame

I am on a business trip right now. But even in the midst of all that seems to us to be “secular” God comes in to speak to us. He comes with clarity. Could it be that in the context of not striving we may be caught unawares and be able to hear more clearly? A question that some of you could answer for me. The Lord brought me clearly to Hebrews 12. I believe that ENDURING and DESPISING are keys that bring us into the fullness of our calling. When we can ENDURE, we can QUALIFY to sit in … Continue reading Enduring a Cross and Despising Shame

Rewind perspectives: Restoring true pastoral understanding

I am on one of my many business/ministry trips right now. I am particularly moved. I am particularly taught, strongly by the Lord. Many of us were EXCITED by the prophetic and apostolic ministries. God says: rewind. The pastoral is what God wants to RESTORE in the Body. But what kind of restoring? The kind of restoring where we HONOUR and RESPECT the pastoral ministry. It is far much more than preaching, leading the Sunday meeting. It is the Monday morning disciplinary meeting. Where those who are unsubmissive, and problematic are discussed and decided on what action to take. Right … Continue reading Rewind perspectives: Restoring true pastoral understanding

The fallout of the Obama Victory.

Let me get this straight right at the outset. I do not agree with everything Obama stands for. But I respect him as I respect those who voted for him. Therefore as a believer I must pray for him. The indictment is not that Obama is an antichrist that the Church failed to unseat. The real enemy must be the fundamentalist Bible beating churches that are spread accross the American nation. There is a serious divide taking place. It is called religious prejudice. Right now I may have a position against homosexuality, Islam, and other persuasions, but above all, is … Continue reading The fallout of the Obama Victory.

A Tribute to Yorrie Richards

I woke up early this morning to learn that my friend Yorrie Richards had been promoted. Such a heavy heart accompanied me to breakfast. I am away from home right now, conducting business. If I am going to pay tribute one needs to know who was Yorrie and what part he played in my Christian life. Yorrie was Wales born, from Maesteg in the valleys. Many stories abound of Yorrie being somewhat a feared character, taken to drinking. The Church, I believe an apostolic church, took to praying for Yorrie. He was gloriously saved and straight away took to being … Continue reading A Tribute to Yorrie Richards
